This has been a most exciting year to see the growth of the JLCP learners as they journey through the halls and into the Media Center to visit, read, research, check out a book, return a book, buy an ID replacement for $5, an agenda planner for $3, pay for lost library or textbooks.
We have reached the half way mark & hope that you have half way reached your reading goal.
Remember that the Superintendants Reading Club Gala Party is Sat. May 22. Save the date for the family affair at the Jax. Fairgrounds. More info to follow. The cut off date is usually at the end of April. So keep track of the number of books that you read through your language arts teacher. Stop by the library if you need another reading log:)
With all the cut-backs of the nation, a challenge has been for the students(& me, too) to remember that JLCP Media Center is open part-time. The schedule is: to students on Mon, Tues. And every 1st & 3rd Wed. I think we have caught on to the new schedule. Thank you to all of you for your patience and understanding in these adjusting times.
The mission of the library media program is to insure that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats that will enhance their preparation for college and leadership roles.
